Norwegian producer Lerøy Midt went to Baader in Germany to supply the new 100,000 tonne capacity factory it is building near Trondheim at Jøsnøya on the island of Hitra.
The new factory will be the most sophisticated of its kind in existence and is due to open for business in May 2018
“We thank the Lerøy Seafood Group, as the leading exporter of seafood from Norway and the world’s second largest producer of Atlantic Salmon, for the opportunity to be part of this new factory,” said Baader MD Robert Focke.
“With this new facility Lerøy expect to set new benchmarks, also for salmon gutting.”
Lerøy has decided to buy several new Baader 144 gutting machines for the new Jøsnøya factory, as well as choosing the Baader 144s in combination with the new Baader 1570 Speed Feed System.
“The new Baader 144 Gutting Machine together with the 1570 Speed Feed System will be our money maker due to a tremendous increase of efficiency,” said Lerøy Midt production director Frode Arntsen.
“This is the best solution for a perfect and clean princess-cut at a revolutionary speed. A perfect final product starts with a perfect gutting. We have long relationship with Baader and very good experience with their products and service.”
Lerøy has committed itself to maintaining the highest standards. With their new factory they will follow this commitment and will invest in latest innovative Baader technology, with the salmon gutting system forming is a core part of this sophisticated new factory.
