Consulting and ImporterAssociation “Ukrainian importers of fish and seafood” is a voluntary, non-governmental, non-profit, self-regulatory organization.
“The mission of the Association – joint efforts of ukrainian importers of fish products to promote the legal standards of doing business in Ukraine and networking between business and the state”
Association was established in December 2011 as a contractual association of legal entities.
Our association was established to:
- protect the rights and interests of its members in dealing with government agencies, local authorities, trade unions, other associations and organizations both in Ukraine and abroad.
- representation and protection of rights and interests of its members in the legislative and executive authorities, judicial, law enforcement, tax and other state bodies in Ukraine and abroad.
- promote trade relations, business contacts and relationships with foreign partners to meet the needs of the Ukrainian residents in the fishing products.
- attract to Ukraine advanced technologies and best practices in the field of fisheries and the development of national exports.
Major events and achievements:
9.25.14 Association signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation with the state fiscal service of Ukraine, within which we provide information about the true cost of imported fish products.
In 2015, the Association actively participated and was one of the initiators of the abolition of 10% additional import duty on imported food.
07/01/2016 Association signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation with the Embassy of Norway within which we cooperate in matters of export-import operations between the two countries.
The Association is an expert of the Public Council under the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
The arrangements with the business ombudsman to hold joint meetings to resolve disputes with the government if any.
Since 2016 the Association has stepped up work on promotion of Ukrainian export of high quality fish products produced and networking with foreign partners.
Working on attracting domestic and foreign investors for projects with the private domestic fisheries and infrastructure projects focuses on the development of aquaculture.
