Running a loan from the European Investment Bank in priority Agriculture Ministry

The project “The main credit for the agricultural sector – Ukraine (APEX)” for the provision of credit by the European Investment Bank in the amount of 400 million euro positive impact on the business climate and create conditions for activation of investment activity will help Ukrainian farmers to increase exports and create jobs . “Credit from the European Investment Bank has become a real tool to support business development especially for small and medium producers. Under the project, the initial amount of 400 million euros from the European Bank should be added another 400 million euros from the Ukrainian banks participating in the project. It is therefore necessary to create clear conditions for the successful operation of the project. For their part, to accelerate its implementation, we are holding active negotiations, both the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, and with Ukreximbank “- said Taras corner.

Deputy Minister Olga Trofimtseva added that after the meeting with commercial banks, representatives of the banking sector have expressed their interest in participating in this project. “We now have to finalize the technical details of the project with all parties, to credit” worked. ” Once the final agreement will be reached, we will officially launch this important project “, – said Olga Trofimtseva.

Most project “The main credit for the agricultural sector – Ukraine (APEX)”, to be implemented in the 2016-2020 biennium., Offered to provide loans for a period of 12 years with a grace period of crediting – 4 years.

“End Users loan will serve small and medium enterprises – for them will be allocated at least 70% of the total. The remaining 30% – for the operators of the public sector, research stations, laboratories, institutions, monitoring and control of fisheries, “- said the Minister.

Under this program is planned to finance the following areas:

– Primary production of grains and oilseeds;

– The development, modernization and certification facilities for drying, cleaning, sorting, testing and storage of grain and oilseeds;

– Reconstruction of capacities aquaculture and fisheries;

– Equipment and infrastructure for fish processing and canning;

– Research stations, testing laboratories and equipment for research and training, dissemination of agricultural knowledge service and certification, control and monitoring of fisheries.
